Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply minimally invasive surgery techniques appropriately in the management of bunions and other forefoot procedures.
  • Differentiate appropriate indications and contra-indications for total ankle replacement procedures.
  • Apply evidence-based standard of care to a variety the evaluation and management of foot and ankle pathologies
  • Analyze current scientific research and its role in patient care.
  • Evaluate common foot and ankle injuries and select appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Evaluate treatment options for a variety of diabetic foot and peripheral nerve pathologies.
  • Determine appropriate prevention, medical management, and conservative treatment options for foot and ankle pathologies.
  • Apply legal and professional standards for appropriate clinical documentation and reimbursement practices.



Intended Audience

This educational activity is intended for doctors of pediatric medicine, podiatric residents, and fellows.


Approval Statement

ACFAS is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a Provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. ACFAS has approved this activity for a maximum of 32.58 continuing education contact hours.

  • General sessions included in registration are approved for 25.25 continuing education contact hours.
  • Workshops are approved for 3.5 continuing education contact hours.



Refund/Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and refund requests must be made via email to the ACFAS Meetings Department at meetings@ACFAS.org.  

  • Cancellation request submitted in writing on or before February 11, 2027: Full refund of payment received, less a $100 administrative fee. 
  • Cancellation request submitted in writing after February 11, 2027: no refunds will be provided. Exceptions will be considered for extenuating circumstances only, such as medical issues or a death in the family. 
  • Workshop fees are non-refundable from the time of purchase. 
  • Refunds will not be granted for no-shows. 

An alternate attendee from the same organization may be substituted at any time prior to the conference start with no penalty. However, if the rate for the alternate attendee is higher, the rate difference must be paid at the time of substitution.
